O projecto insere-se na serra de Santo António, nas imediações de Alcanena. A paisagem é caracterizada por uma forte imagem rural e tradicional, sendo o desafio a máxima integração do projecto na paisagem envolvente e no terreno com um declive acentuado. Optou-se assim por uma solução que articula, entre si, e através de rampas que vencem a grande diferença de cotas, volumes independentes que foram dispostos ao longo da área de intervenção, criando pátios nos seus intervalos. O museu visa reavivar as memórias rurais com diferentes actividades existentes na região: tecelagem, padaria, queijaria, arqueologia, espaleologia, mundo rural, gastronomia e trabalho em pedra.equipa de projecto project team
description. the project was an invitation by the Municipality of Alcanena, co-projected with: Bruno Arouca, Bruno Ribeiro, Bruno Silva, Cátia Loureiro, Gonçalo Moeiro and Vitor Ramos.
The project is placed in Serra de Santo António, in the outskirts of Alcanena (center of Portugal) , which is characterized by the rural landscape and traditional activities. The main challenge was to mesh the project in the surrounding landscape as well as in the intervention plot which has a prominent topography. The solution fits together the independent volumes through ramps and patios in the empty spaces between. The museum aims to bring out rural memories with the help of activities existing in the region, such as: weaving, bakery, a cheese industry, archeology, speleology, gastronomy and stone work.
